MY REVIEW

What a ride! I absolutely LOVED this book! It's like nothing i've ever read and the plot is simply astounding!

Hope is trying to be a normal teenager while she juggles spending her time at the hospital. The author did a splendid job at describing how exactly Hope healed her patients, it was fascinating!! She's extremely kind and has a big heart and cares a great deal for Kirbie, a little boy suffering from cancer who knows about her secret. Cancer was something she couldn't heal despite trying non-stop on Kirbie and that was eating her alive, all she can do is ease his pain.

Her dad does everything possible to keep her safe and always makes it perfectly clear that he only cares about Hope's safety and everything else can go to hell. There was such a strong bond between these two! I loved her best friend, Angie, too! She was hilarious and a fierce friend despite her lack of physical strength compared to Victor and Tie, she was always the one with a purse in hand ready to swing it at anyone who hurt her best friend. She was like the humor aspect of the book, always lightening the mood with her sarcasm.

The story line was intriguing and involved Japanese mythology. It was about the love god who gave out cherry blossoms to people so they could find their soulmates-a bit like cupid and his arrows. The thing was, that there was this princess he gave a blossom too . The princess went home and found out that her father had arranged her wedding to another man but she couldn't stop thinking about the God, The man who she got engaged to, was mad that she was in love with someone else and so on..It was an absolutely intriguing myth to base a YA story on. I kind of figured how Victor and Tie fit into it from the very beginning. But there's still so much more to that myth that is explained throughout the book. We've got the underworld, evil cats, warriors, a weakening veil, Gods and in the middle of it all, a kind but strong heroine who seems to be the only one able to save it all.

As for the love aspect- i wouldn't say it's a love triangle. I do like Tie a lot but Victor seems a bit cooler to me...As for the ending...WOW!!! I have a feeling where the next book is going to take us and i'm soooooo excited!! I'm sure there are TONS more of secrets and twists that's awaiting us! I need this sequel now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great read for all you YA paranormal lovers! Be sure to check it out!
