MY REVIEW

This is definitely not one of my favorite books but it was pretty gripping. So Mara waked up in a hospital and learns that her two friends and boyfriend died and she suggests they move to another house and start fresh. She goes to a new school and meets Noah, there's the typical 'new girl' scene and also the mean girl..It was just very predictable...

I did however love Mara's relationship with her siblings; especially Daniel. He was fiercely protective of her and was always there for her. He was never embarrassed of her at his new school or anything. There's this one time when her little brother Joseph and her family see her going crazy and Joseph gets scared so they decide to make her go to a psychiatrist. I really loved that scene because Mara wasn't bitching about it or saying 'uh i don't have a problem' or 'i'm just gonna sit in the office and stare into space while she tries to understand me'. No, Mara realizes something is wrong and every time she thinks of her little brother's fear, she's determined to get better so she goes to the psychiatrist and actually tries to get better.

I can't say much about Noah without spoiling it but he is pretty awesome and has some skeletons in the closet that come out in the end. Their relationship was sweet and sassy without overdoing it. For Mara's 'hallucinations' as she refers to them, i expected them to be more gritty. The main reason i can't give this a fivee star is because i think the book focused too much on teen drama and not enough on the dark and haunting aspect of the book...

Overall it was an amazing read and i couldn't stop reading it till the end. I can't wait to find out what happens next!!

MY REVIEW

MAGNUS BANE IS AWESOME!! This will be a very short review so let's see what you'll encounter in this book. So Edmund Herondale, will's father. Then James Jerondale, will's son. After that we see JEM AND TESSA!!! Then we see Jace's father STEPHAN HERONDALE!!!

Clare is killing me with all these connection and also Isabelle's red necklace makes an appearance. We get a sneak peak of Valentine's circle in action. I was laughing throughout this book and i didn't expect anything less-magnus is after all the center of attention here.

can i just say that MAGNUS IS HILARIOUS WHEN HE'S DRUNK!!!! 

We even learn how Magnus met Raphael and how he saved him. If you've read the last book of the mortal instruments series then you'll see Raphael refers to Magnus saving his life and this story explains it all!!

Just go pick it up guys-best companion novel ever!

MY REVIEW

Pretty conflicting emotions and mixed feelings for this book...Let's do a PROS and CONS for this book!

PROS
1) The setting was spectacular-cold gritty London. Extremely well described and makes you feel like you're actually experiencing what the protagonist is.                                                                            
2) The plot is well thought out and interesting.                                                                                                                        
3) There is an AMAZING TWIST that literally made me go ballistic!!                     
4) There was an actual build up to the love story                                                        
5) The murders were pretty gruesome but so intriguing and mysterious, i kept asking myself who was the killer!!???

CONS
1) The protagonist is really like a brat. She acts up on her friends for no reason and they always apologize to her for no reason.
2) She doesn't call her mother 'mom' but 'Sylvia' just because her mother is one of those posh people...but so what??she's still your mother!!!
3) I can't really figure out Gabriel-sometimes he's quiet and mysterious. Next his caring and sweet. After that he's cocky and arrogant. I wished the author would have settled on complementary characteristics for him. Other than that he was swoon worthy!!!
4) This book DRAGGED ON!!! Something only happened about three quarters in the book and then, to me, this is where the real story begins. There were a lot of unnecessary things that do not contribute or help at all...

NOW THE BIG QUESTION! Will I be reading the sequel?????????

YES I WILL!!! Because the plot is so promising and i'm sure the sequel will be much better since it's shorter and i get the feeling that there will be things happening all the time and a lot of action i'm guessing! But i did enjoy this book!

Wow this sequel certainly lives up to expectations!!! The story picks off a while after Sophie and Agatha have returned to their village and are now celebrities-they are after all the first to come back from the School Of Good And Evil.

However, even though Sophie and Agatha are happy being together, Agatha still longs for Tedros and wishes for him. The girls are whisked away into the schools again but this time in the same school. The Nevers and Evers are mixed together now and the only difference is that the School For Evil has become the School For Boys. At the end of book 1, Agatha and Sophie live out their ever after together and after they left, girls started realizing they didn't need boys anymore! We have Girl Power and Boy Power. I love this author and this SERIES!!!

Then we have Tedros who wants to kill Sophie because she stole Agatha from him. Sophie becomes evil again and drives them apart. She tries to hid it and it's a constant question mark if she's evil or not; you find yourself struggling with Agatha to know what is and isn't true.



They go into the trials again and stuff happens that add to this books awesomeness. New enemies and SHOCKING revelations. A CLIFFHANGER ENDING THAT MAKES ME WANT TO RIP MY HAIR OUT!!! At first when i read the last sentence i was like
Then-IT'S OVER?????!!!!!


THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GIVEN THE RELEASE DATE YET-LET ME DIE!!!!Maybe i can get an ARC in heaven!!!

MY REVIEW

AAAAHHHHHHH EPICCCCCCCC FANGIRLING!!!!!! I don't think i'll be able to convey my exact feelings so most of it is in gif but still....HOLY CRAP THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!!! i don't really like middle grade but this??? This is the most unique and thrilling book i've ever read- well one of them anyway. The idea and world building is totally genius and the character build up to their respective good/bad was epic. 

So basically this book is about to polar opposite girls who are best friends. Sophie, is vain and has wanted her whole life to be captured by the School Master and be taken to the school for Good where she'll learn to smile, play the damsel in distress and meet her prince. Agatha on the other hand is avoided by everyone because she's always in black and gives off a repulsive sense. So when Sophie is happily being captured, Agatha runs after her to save her and is too whisked away to the land beyond their little village. Unfortunately, everything does not go as planned when Sophie goes to the school for Evil while Agatha ends up in the school for Good where everything is pink and sparkly. Both girls think it's a mistake but the reader knows it isn't; the book deals with their struggles and adjustments and discovering their true nature. 

I hated Sophie but she made an endearing and remarkable villain! I loved Agatha's difference from the other princesses and how slowly both girls realize that they've been in the right schools all along! The classes were so well imagined i found myself hoping i would attend that school!!!!!! We've even a little but of hunger games action in there since as a class test the Nevers( Evil students) and the Evers (Good students) Have to survive in the woods till dawn while battling each other and avoiding traps caused planted by the faculty. Then there was Tedros-he was Arthur's son and Sophie is infatuated by him but then he realized his true love is Agatha and and and and EVERYTHING IS JUST PERFECT ABOUT THIS BOOK!!!!

IF I'D KNOWN HOW AWESOME THIS BOOK WAS I'D BE LIKE THIS AT THE COUNTER.




Sophie was just EVIL!!! did i mention she's the coolest evil i've ever heard of??

I really don't know what else to say about this book except pick it up NOW!!The ending is bittersweet (thank god i have the sequel already!!!) and action packed throughout-not just a few pages but a whole lot of nail-biting, pen tapping and lip biting action awaits you! This book will make you laugh, cry and grip you so hard that you won't stop reading it!!!
